Golden is a black gender-nonconforming transfemme visual artist and poet born & raised in Hampton, Virginia currently residing in New York City. Golden is a 2018 Winter Tangerine Fellow, 2017 Pink Door Fellow, and the 2016 NYU Grand Slam Champion. Golden was also a part of the Bowery Poetry Slam team that placed 9th in the nation at the National Poetry Slam, the Femmeyc team that placed 3rd at the first annual Femme Empowerment Movement Poetry Slam Festival, and the 2016-2017 NYU Slam team that was Co-Champions of the 2017 Collegiate Unions Poetry Slam Invitational. Their photowork has been featured at Photoville, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, the Tisch Gulf & Western Gallery, on Interview Mag’s Instagram and website, the Offing, and forthcoming in I-D Magazine.
