What did you read last, and what do you want to read next?... Last: a chunk of Richard O. Prum’s The Evolution of Beauty. Next: Rebecca Solnit’s The Mother of All Questions and Bitch Planet by DeConnick and De Landro.
What did your childhood sound like?... Unfortunately, I don’t have an acoustically-inclined brain.
Who would you contact in a seance?... Do you ever worry that if you contact the dead they’ll start haunting you?
What feels radical to you?... Having fun. Finding reasons to smile, in spite of the state of our country.
What isn't one of the seven wonders of the world, but should be?... The spicy griddled cooked fish with pepper at Shu Han Ju on Sixth Avenue.
What's your go-to question in truth or dare?... It depends on whether they pick “truth” or “dare."
What was your best adolescent online alter ego?... I didn’t have one. Do you mean to ask about my screenname? Something like “giantsquid17."
Describe your next piece with the title of a pop song?... I can’t! Though I do love Nicki Minaj.
What makes you laugh the hardest?... Great jokes delivered by funny people.
What do you wish someone would ask you?... I can’t get enough of “Wait a second, are you the Columbia Mattress Rape Girl????” No, but seriously something more like, “May I fund your next artwork?”
