I hope the feature will succeed in portraying women and femininity as they are perceived today, by presenting works with a truly authentic language that emanates both the powerful and sensible aspects of the subject.

Alexandra Levasseur was born in 1982, Shawinigan, Qc, Canada, Alexandra moved to Costa Rica in 2000. She received a BFA in Fine Arts / Graphic Design in 2006 from the University of Costa Rica. Then she pursued her studies with a postgraduate in Illustration at EINA - Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art of Barcelona in 2008. From 2007 to 2010 she has been working as an illustrator and an art director for advertising agencies.
She returned to Montreal, Canada in 2010 where she works as a freelance illustrator and on her personal projects. Her work has been exhibited in Spain, Canada, Costa Rica, the UK and the USA. In 2012, she entered the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema of Concordia University in Montreal, to study Film Animation and was granted with a scholarship for her academic excellence. She is represented by Roccia Gallery, in Montreal.
