Yasmin Belkhyr, Founder/Editor-in-Chief
Yasmin writes. She was born in Morocco, and lives in New York City.
Her writing has been recognized by various organizations, such as Princeton University, the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, the National Alliance for the Arts, and the Norman Mailer Center.
Her work is published/will be published in PANK, Waxwing, and Salt Hill, among other fine publications. She is working on several chapbooks, and a collection of her poems are also being translated to Italian.
She's read her work at MOMA PS 1, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and the Lincoln Center, among other venues. She has also had her work showcased in the Hall of Nations, and performed at the Kennedy Center.
Yasmin sings badly in Arabic, watches far too much television, and drinks hot chocolate at least once a day. You can read her writing and see more at her official website.
