Kalisha Buckhanon

Kalisha majored in English Language and Literature at University of Chicago and received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing at The New School. She is the author of the novels CONCEPTION (St. Martin's, 2008) and UPSTATE (St. Martin's, 2005), also published by John Murray in London and Rouergue in Paris. She and her work have been featured in BlogHer, Essence, The Guardian/Observer, Mosaic, Colorlines,Michigan Quarterly Review, London Independent on Sunday, xoJane, The Stockholm Review, The Root, Hermeneutic Chaos, Intellectual Refuge and more.
