Kesi Augustine is a PhD candidate in English Literature at New York University, where she is currently writing her dissertation on her conception of Black childhood and youth studies. She received her AA from Bard College, her BA from Williams College, and her MA from NYU. Kesi's poetry, personal essays, and reviews of the Black arts and have been published in venues like Africlectic, BK Nation, For Harriet, New York City's Poetry in Motion Subway Centenntial, the Huffington Post, and USA TODAY.
