SOCIAL MEDIA ASSOCIATES

We are currently seeking two Social Media Associates to help manage social media content and assist in ideating new methods of engaging with our community. Social Media Associates will work closely with the Director of Social Media in planning and executing an innovative social media strategy. This position is remote so initiative, commitment and accountability are critical. Applicants should be familiar with Winter Tangerine's aesthetic and most importantly, have a strong desire to promote Winter Tangerine and the work we are doing. If you love the work Winter Tangerine publishes and want more people to read it, then this is the role for you!

ASSOCIATE PROSE EDITOR

We are currently seeking an Associate Prose Editor dedicated to expanding publishing by challenging the ideals of literary canons. Associate Editors work closely with our editorial team to curate our biannual issues, communicate with writers on edits, and manage our submission queues. We look for an ability to critically analyze literary work, a distinct, electric creative voice, and a commitment to community. Associate Editors must be able to work independently reliably, and follow through on commitments; Winter Tangerine staff is composed of people who approach their work with initiative and self-motivation. Associate Editors should hold a high standard of excellence in their editorial practice, have an understanding of literary form and narrative, and be eager to welcome new ways of navigating and contributing to contemporary literary dialogue. We are pleased to offer modest stipends to our Associate Editors. The role is based entirely online.

ASSOCIATE INTERNSHIP DIRECTOR

We are currently seeking an associate internship director to help us manage and develop our digital internship program. The Winter Tangerine internship program offers digital internship opportunities for writers and readers across the world. The associate internship director will work closely with the internship director to fortify and further innovate the internship program; responsibilities will include outreach to schools and youth centers, reading and considering internship applications, and supporting interns in their work with Winter Tangerine.

GRAPHIC DESIGNERS

We are seeking graphic designers to create sleek posters using Winter Tangerine artwork, and help coordinate engaging social campaigns alongside the Social Media team. This is a remote position so the ability to reliably work independently is a must. We are pleased to offer a modest honorarium for this role.

GENERAL READERS

We are currently seeking readers to discuss and review Winter Tangerine submissions. We look for an ability to critically analyze literary work, a passion for contemporary literature, and a sense of initiative. The time commitment is 2-3 hours a week. This is an unpaid six-month role. The role is based entirely online.
