SPOTLIGHT SERIES DIRECTOR

We are seeking an experienced editor to manage and develop Winter Tangerine’s Spotlight Series. The Spotlight Series is a biannual special feature series devoted to highlighting the nuances of global social and political issues through poetry, prose and visual art. Director responsibilities will include developing a Spotlight publication schedule, fielding pitches for Spotlights from within the WT ecosystem, working with Spotlight teams (creative leads, associate editors, readers, etc) throughout the entirety of each Spotlight feature, including development, promotion, curation, design and launch. This role requires an editorial practice steeped in a demonstrated desire to amplify marginalized voices in productive and dignified ways. This person must be able to work independently reliably, follow through on commitments, and communicate regularly across email/Slack. Winter Tangerine’s staff is composed of people who approach their work with initiative and self-motivation. We are pleased to offer a modest honorarium for this position. The role is based entirely online.

REVIEWS EDITOR

We are seeking an Reviews Editor who will manage and develop Winter Tangerine’s 5 Reasons to Read series and long-form book reviews. Responsibilities will include managing a small team of staff reviewers, identifying poetry and prose releases of interest for the review team, fielding external review requests, and overseeing the editorial and publication process of a regular review schedule. This person must be able to work independently reliably, follow through on commitments, and communicate regularly across email/Slack. Winter Tangerine’s staff is composed of people who approach their work with initiative and self-motivation. We are pleased to offer a modest honorarium for this position. The role is based entirely online.

Responsibilities will include developing an interview publication schedule, identifying and reaching out to potential interviewees, conducting and editing interviews, fielding interview pitches from WT staff, and managing a small team of staff interviewers. This person must be able to work independently reliably, and follow through on commitments; Winter Tangerine’s staff is composed of people who approach their work with initiative and self-motivation. GRAPHIC DESIGNERS

We are seeking graphic designers to create sleek posters using Winter Tangerine artwork, and help coordinate engaging social campaigns alongside the Social Media team. This is a remote position so the ability to reliably work independently is a must. We are pleased to offer a modest honorarium for this role.
