One in five Americans experience some form of mental illness. One in twenty-five live with a debilitating condition, such as schizophrenia, bipolar or major depressive disorder. As a society, we do not engage in discussions of mental health. When we do discuss it, we speak in terms of tragedy, rather than reality.
