Jess X. Snow is a queer Asian Canadian public artist, filmmaker, poet, and educator. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and is currently in the MFA program for Graduate Film at the NYU Tisch School for the Arts.
Her art and murals have appeared in the The LA Times, The Huffington Post, PBS Newshour, NBC America, The UN Human Rights Council, and on indoor and outdoor walls throughout the US. Her films have been supported by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center. Her poetry was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, has been published in the anthology Bettering American Poetry, and has taken her to stages such as the US Institute for Peace, universities, and backyards nationwide. She is working toward a future where queer and migrant youth of color may find themselves whole and heroic on the big screen and city walls and grow up and create their own.
