While we at Winter Tangerine operate with a diversity of voices, we still are intentional in how we make our workshops & opportunities for writers truly at the margins. Personally, as a Black Trans working writer, the cost of writing retreats & workshops can often provide a barrier to access.

While we have scholarships eligible to anyone who asks & make sure we keep our applications free, we do have limited capacity & want to make sure those financially & culturally disenfranchised have access.

This year we are pleased to announce a Trans Writers of Color Fund for Trans & GNC applicants. Trans & GNC writers are critical to Winter Tangerine’s development, leadership, & community. Help us assure our community we can hold them down while building them up!
